About Me
A Brief Introduction bios are hard
Hi! My name is Sara Hood and I am an aspiring graphic designer and creative writer. I have recently received my master's degree in publishing & writing at Emerson College.
I am working towards finding a job and/or internship in graphic design because I love getting creative with the Adobe Creative Suite. I have designed many projects within InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects which you can see within this portfolio.
I am currently working full-time as a Supervisor at WACOAL, where I help women of all shapes and sizes find the best fitted bras that match the needs of each individual customer. I have been able to learn more about brand awareness and have shared my own ideas of marketing and events to help develop a bigger community in the Boston area. While it is not my career job, the position has taught me a lot about the importance of working on a team that supports each other's strengths. My team recognizes when to encourage innovation and support our personal goals.
My resume (linked below) only shows a glimpse of what I can do. Feel free to contact me to learn more about my skills, experiences, and ideas (you won't find me lacking in creativity).
Other Interests just because
Travel
So far I have traveled to 11 different countries including Spain, Italy, Belgium, England, Netherlands, Scotland, Dominican Republic, China, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. One of my goals in life is to take every possible opportunity to travel abroad to learn about different cultures and the world around me. Once our borders start opening up again, I plan to schedule a trip to Iceland and Israel.
Film
I love all types of films, and can never pick one to be my favorite because they each have merit. Current favorites that come to mind include Kill Bill, Inception, Roman Holiday, Rope, Little Miss Sunshine, Pretty Woman, and Silence of the Lambs. I could go on and on listing titles of classics. However, there is nothing like watching a new movie for the first time. It's like the first time riding a rollercoaster, or the first time finishing a new book. I am thankful to all the creatives out there that keep creating new stories that invoke these moments.
